AUSMASA has launched a national project to develop new training products for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). This includes reviewing what skills are required when working on vehicles equipped with front-facing cameras and sensors—especially when it comes to windscreen replacement and calibration.

The Auto Glass Association (AGA) is representing our sector on the ADAS Technical Advisory Group, ensuring the unique role of auto glaziers is not overlooked in this process.

    This project could shape future:
    ✔ Training content and qualifications
✔ Industry standards around ADAS calibration
✔ How responsibilities are defined across trades

With ADAS systems becoming standard in most new vehicles, this work has major implications for our trade.

We’ll keep you updated as the project progresses—but we’d love to hear your thoughts.
️ Should ADAS calibration be part of the auto glazing qualification?
Are current training options enough for what’s required on the job?

    Let’s start the conversation.
